Shirley Wu's teaching philosophy. 

Shirley can teach both classical music and pop music. She is familiar with most piano methods such as Thompsons, ABC, Alfred, Suzuki, Faber, Little Mozart, and she has also prepared young music students for their auditions for college entrance, prize winners of local music competitions, and often obtaining merit or distinction in their ABRSM or RCM examinations. Shirley has already taught more than 500 students all over the world, including Montreal, Toronto, Seattle, San Francisco and London, UK. Among her students, one can find children of 5 years old and seniors at 70 years old, beginners as well as advanced students.

Shirley is a friendly teacher though she emphasizes on a rigid practice routine. For children, it is up to the parents if they would like to sit in to the lesson but when it comes to practicing at home, she encourages parents to supervise and encourage their children. Shirley specializes in cultivating piano prodigies for those who wish to have such a result.
